Colour Run and the Key Competencies

At Rangikura school in Room 9 we have been learning about key competencies.

Key competencies are: Thinking,Managing self, Using Languages ,Texts and Symbols the last one is Relating to others.

We have been doing colour run. My first colour was blue, now I am red every time I go up Limerick hill I always power walk. After colour run we get out our math books and we write down what number we came and what colour we came. I think this blog post is under managing self because every time we go for colour run I always try to challenge myself so that the colour I came before I can do better. I am happy because I have been improving in the colour run and have stopped coming green and blue. Now I am on yellow. I have been trying to come red again then I will try and keep on coming red.

S.T.A.R.S and I will tell you what I know about Stars. Stars mean: S means Supporting each other, T means Tell the truth, A means Achieving our goal and R means Respect and the last one S means Self-responsibility. That is what I learned about stars this term. My favourite colour is cyan and blue. My favourite sports is futsal, netball,hockey and basketball. Ban Fireworks

Ban Fireworks

Hi my name is Toa and I would like fireworks to banned.

People love fireworks nearly almost the whole city loves fireworks but I want to end fireworks for the safety of our family and pets. I also want to ban fireworks because of how unsafe it is to play with fireworks.

People  say who knows what fireworks stand for it means fire which is really dangerous around kids also your pets. It is  dangerous because once there were some students  doing fireworks and they were firing at the wrong direction.  Instead of firing at the stars or sky they fired at a dog. The dog dribbled with blood and it looked so sad. That is why you should never point fireworks at a direction that you are not supposed to be pointing at.

I also want to ban fireworks because if you go really close to it while it is still firing it could really damage your eyes and it will make you blind also  it can really burn you and that hurts.

Those are the reasons why we should ban fireworks.

My Moment In Time Meeting Usain Bolt

Meeting the Fastest Man in the World.

      

I am in the stadium  waiting for Usain Bolt to come out, as soon as the doors open everyone in the whole stadium runs to Usain Bolt and shout out “Usain Bolt, Usain Bolt’’ .

As soon as I got outside I can see many people from Jamaica asking Usain Bolt to take a Selfie with them. I am amazed by so many people love Usain Bolt even the people from canada! love him.

I am just about to take a Selfie with  the Fastest Man in the universe. Finally it is my turn to take a selfie with Usain Bolt  ooooooooo YUCK! Usain bolt is hugging me  and his armpits are around me but they really smell and are sweaty like the sun burning you when you are in the hot sunny sunshine it is so shiny on my piece of  aluminium foil of bluebird chicken chips my selfie with Usain Bolt is finished.

Oh My Gosh people are still waiting to take a Selfie with Usain Bolt this can’t be true all the other competitors are here but only three people want a photo with them. It is nearly midnight the moon looks like a frankenstein floppy face.

I was happy I took Selfies and videos with Usain Bolt the Fastest man in the world for twelve years I am thinking I would never go under a sweaty armpit ever again.
